Monday 8/6  National Bias in Olympic Coverage

There have been many complaints regarding NBC's (an American television network) coverage of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.  Come to the American Corner to discuss what those complaints entail, how a network can change the opinion of an entire country and what can be done to make olympic coverage fair and unbiased.



Tuesday 8/7   Baseball

Learn the rules and regulations of Baseball by watching a real American Baseball game!


Wednesday 8/8  Music Listening Activity

Do you like listening to music?  Do you think you know all the lyrics?  Find out by participating in a music listening activity to see how well you understand the lyrics of popular American songs.  After the listening, we will discuss the song lyrics to decipher their meaning.


Thursday 8/9  Improv


1:00 Conversation Hour

Have you ever seen he American TV show "Whose Line Is It Anyway"?  It's an improv show starring American comedians who make up their lines right on the spot in front of a live TV audience. Come and participate in the American Corner version of this show and have some fun!



Friday 7/13   Movie Day


3:00 Fim Screening

Watch Pixar's "Up", a story about an old man and a young boy who set off to pursue childhood dreams in a lost world.

I love "whose line is it anyway?" and would love to see the improv on Thursday. I kind of stumbled upon this so forgive my ignorance, is this an open event? Or do you have to be a member in the AC or something? Thank you.
