Bio:

Professor Cole is the Richard P. Mitchell Collegiate Professor of History at the University of Michigan. For three decades, he has sought to put the relationships of the West and the Muslim world in a historical context. His most recent book is Engaging the Muslim, and he also recently authored Napoleon's Egypt: Invading the Middle East.

The AC will close at 3:30 so we have time to walk to CEMAT before the presentation at 5:00.
