Wednesday February 24th: Film show and discussion of “Mississippi Burning”

All events will be held in the American Corner and will begin at 4pm

New Additions at the AC!

In addition to having great books and DVDs, the American Corner now has board games for its users! Although these games can not be taken home, you are welcome to stop by with some friends and enjoy the games here! We now have Catch Phrase, Balderdash, Scrabble, and Taboo. Not only are all these games fun, but they will also help improve your english!!

Watch the Secretary of State's Speech in the AC

Greetings! This Thursday (January 21st) the U.S. Secretary of State will be making a special speech about internet freedom. Stop by the American Corner at 3:30 to watch the speech. It will be followed by a discussion with Mr. Jed Dornburg from the American Embassy. See you soon, inshallah!

AC Closed December 24th - January 4th

Just a reminder that the American Corner will be closed from December 24th to January 4th. So if you want a new book please stop by before December 23rd to pick one out! Also, any books or DVDs will be due back after this time. Sorry for any inconvience this may cause you. See you next year!!

'Tis the Season

Want to learn more about Christmas and common Christmas traditions in America? Feel like building a gingerbread house? Need a break to socialize with friends? If you answered yes to any of these questions then you need to come to the American Corner next Tuesday (December 22nd) at 4:00pm for a Holiday Social. There will be snacks, music, friends, and an opportunity to build a gingerbread house! Please stop by and feel free to bring a friend!

Interested in Economics??

If you are interested in economics or the global economic crisis, please join us at the American Corner next Thursday, December 17th at 4pm. Mr. Pete Davis, the Economic Officer at the U.S. Embassy, will be in the AC to disscuss the crisis. In addition to his presentation, there will be a discussion and time for questions.
